PS3 or Xbox 360?
« on: May 21, 2011, 08:18:29 PM »

Personally I go for a PS3 everytime, I never got on with the Xbox controller it just feels too clunky and dense, plus the online gamings free (when it works that is).

Anyone got a specific preference?

Well I Use the PS3 for sing star so I use the microphones when I go into battle.
I use the XBox 360 with Kinect  when I go to my virtual keep fit class.
The Zumba is hard going , especially with all that booty shaking going on .
Dance Central on Kinect - well I nearly knocked myself out when having a dance off to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and Poker Face.

I do like Guitar Hero - especially dueling Banjos , and gonna rock you like a hurricane ! I also liked Rock Band when it first came out with my speciality being the drums!

PC- Well I used to play MOHA and COD and found that I could speak to people all over the world using Team Speak ! That bit was good  ;D

However I had great difficulties with hand eye coordination and using the keyboard when using a machine gun, shot gun and rocket launcher !
Although I did master using the nades and people would say I was camping - (i didnt even have a tent) . I gave up gaming on the PC eventually.

I now have other gadgets that I like to play with  ;D

;D I generally tend to stick to COD and any car racing games, i used to play on pc but as soon as consoles came out that was the end of that for me  ;D

Its all practice at the end of the day and as long as you had fun "thats what counts" :)

Never played the 360 and went straight to the PS3 from my PS2. No complaints apart from the recent PSN outage.

Recently upgraded our broadband connection to a 40Mb connection so server lag in online games is a thing of the past (so far).

Welcome  ;)

The recent outage was a tad annoying, however we are getting 2 free games on the 24th of this month which isnt so bad plus a 30 day subscription to the Playstation Plus service (which has lots of freebies!), but somehow i dont think you would get that service from Microsoft! ::)

I thought the nintendo DS 3D was quite cool, 3D photos of people are quite scary though  :o
As for the 3D effect without the glasses, you have to look into the screen head on and you can alter the parallax to suit  ;)

Yes you are correct Ben - I think it depends on the user and 3D is something that can and does make some people feel sick etc.
I know that some people can't go to the cinema and watch 3D as it affects them.

Its not for everyone, but I suppose people who don't like 3D probably wouldn't buy it anyway.

You can switch the DS to 2D mode.
It will be interesting to see how many smart phones have the 3D function. I know that the LG have bought one out  ;)

I recon old Mrs Browne will want one of those  ;D  from what I have heard she likes gadgets  :D
